All roads will lead to Afin-Akoko in Akoko North West Local Government,ANWLG on Saturday as families,friends and well wishers of Otunba Honourable Olumide Araoyinbo will witness his Coronation as the  Bashorun of Afin-Akoko a honor bestowed on him by

the Alafin of Afin Kingdom,Oba Prof.Abduraheem Mustafa Adejoro.

Like a Yoruba Adage says “Kato f’eniyan joye laarin ilu oni lati je eni rere” meaning  Chieftaincy titles are reserved and bestowed only to the honourable and responsible citizens.

And on this note the King and People of Afin-Akoko are not making mistake to have bestowed the Bashorun Chieftaincy to someone of Hon.Araoyinbo caliber who is worthy to carry the banner of Afin-Akoko across the globe.

Hon.Araoyinbo who is popularly called Sokoto by his childhood friends and in  social circles  is known for trowing big and octane parties.

And to his credit the Bashorun Designate has not only socially impacted on  his community but has become an influencer to urbanized their lives as he’s the only person who hold the record for facilitating top Nigerian musicians to Irun Akoko and environs to entertain his people.

While for his human kindness and impactful contributions to the society, many royal fathers across the country and even outside his domain had at different times bestowed chieftaincy titles on him. In fact, Araoyinbo is a prophet honored among his own kinsmen.

Otunba Araoyinbo has in the past been honoured across Yoruba land, that is why he’s often addressed by his friends in social circles as “Baba Oloye Repete” a man with uncountable Chieftaincy titles.

Araoyinbo has among the several Chieftaincy titles in his kitty that are not limited to Otunba Ogbagba Agbotewole of Idimu- Lagos, Bashorun Onisowo of Ibadaland,Oluomo of Irun-Akoko,Otunba Bobagunwa of Ogbagi- Akoko.

This philanthropist and respected Community Leader from Irun-Akoko is also a leader in the All Progressive Congress, APC.Party.

The Bashorun of Afin-Akoko Designate is a successful entrepreneur whose companies have interests that span across many sectors like hospitality, import and export, manufacturing, security services and real estate.

This socialite is a man of many parts and he played all parts with the same velocity; recording huge success in all.

In politics, Araoyinbo was one-time a parliamentarian with qualitative and landmark representation and he left a record as the Best Majority Leader to ever served as the member 8th Ondo State House of Assembly, ODHA representing the good people of Akoko North West Constituency 2, meritoriously between 2015-2019.

During his tenure at the Ondo State House of Assembly, Araoyinbo served as Chairman of a very strategic House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, and other Committees like Vice Chairman of Transport & Utilities, also in the Committees on Sports, Commerce & Industry, Natural Resources, and the Finance & Appropriation.

Araoyinbo has used his assembly position to impact positively on his people, being one Nigerian who was dragged into politics as the last resort to solve daunting challenges facing his people and as means of protecting the voiceless masses around his community.

In the business and organized private sector of the Nigerian economy, Araoyinbo is not a push over but a frontliner.

He currently serves as the National Vice President of Nigerian Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture,NACCIMA and the 1st Deputy President of Oodua Chambers of Commerce,Industry,Mines and Agriculture, OODUACCIMA after holding a successful tenure as President Ondo State Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture,ONDOCCIMA and Chartered President Akoko Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, Industry, Manufacturing and Agriculture, AKOCCIMA respectively.

Araoyinbo who hails from Irun-Akoko was born over six decades ago and by stroke of luck,grace and favour from God has fortune smiling at him as he’s toils were transformed into that hydra headed business empire ORLAT Group a holdings he has sustained over the last three decades.

This astute Business Administrator per excellent, is a manager by training and by practice is an alumna of the famous Lagos State Polytechnic, Isolo-Lagos where he studied Business Administration and Management,and graduated with an Higher National Diploma [HND) before venturing ventured into his private business.

And by the grace of God that small seed sown had germinated into a mighty Oak Tree as that business venture he nursed has transformed into OLART Group of Companies with a net worth of multi-million dollars investment thriving with over hundreds of staffers on his pay roll.

To the glory of God, this multiple award winning Leader with rudder has been adorned with several awards, bestowed on him by different local and international organisations, communities, clubs, and professional bodies.

Some of his multiple awards are as follows; AkokoStar Award as the Most Impactful Legislator of the Year,2024,Ekiti NULGE honoured him with an Award of Excellence, in May 2009.

He was awarded the Distinguished Entrepreneur Award by the Lions Club, Ado Ekiti in 2013.

And for his philanthropic gestures Araoyinbo was awarded as the Most Outstanding Young Entrepreneur in 2005, while the National Association of Nigerian Student [NANS] and the National Association of Akoko Students [NAKAS] respectively gave him awards for his philanthropic gestures.

During his tenure at the Ondo State House of Assembly, Araoyinbo served as Chairman of a very strategic House Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, and other Committees like Vice Chairman of Transport & Utilities, also in the Committees on Sports, Commerce & Industry, Natural Resources, and the Finance & Appropriation.

Sometime ago, the most vocal weekly newspaper in Ondo State SUNSHINE VOICE listed his name as among the Topmost 25 Ondo State Youth to Watch in Nigeria Politics which was a rare privilege and countless others.

In 2011, he emerged as the National Delegate representing Akoko North West LGA at the National Convention held at Abuja and the same 2011, he was appointed as Chairman Adhoc Appeal Screening Committee for the National Assembly that is, Senate and House of Representatives in Borno State.

His political philosophy is guided by the democratic principles,he’s an unrepentant Apostle of egalitarian society whose my compassion for humanity, and the development of human capital.He’s as a man whose life is full of services, commitment, and absolute dedication to equality, justice and fairness.
